NNTC Awards FRS Scholarship
Congratulations to Ethan Kester of Clearwater, NE on being awarded a $2,500 an FRS General Scholarship!
NNTC General Manager Pat McElroy had the fun job of surprising Ethan during first period American History class at Summerland Schools, days leading up to graduation.
Ethan, a 2026 graduate of Summerland Public Schools, plans to attend the University of Nebraska Lincoln this fall to study Biochemistry with the goal of becoming a pharmacist in a rural community.
“This is a surprise, a great surprise!” Ethan said after receiving the scholarship. “Retail pharmacy would be great, so I can connect with people I’ve already known my whole life every day.”
The FRS awards scholarships to students from rural communities, with sponsorship support from member companies like NNTC.
